Andrew Beckett CD MD MSc FRCSC FACS is a Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Canadian Medical Service and serves as a trauma surgeon and critical care physician. He has on served multiple military missions overseas. Dr. Beckett is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and is the Medical Director of the Trauma Program at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.
His research interests include massive transfusion and resuscitation in the austere setting, combat casualty database management and military simulation training. He is currently an assistant professor of surgery at McGill University.
