Shelley Hopkins is the Executive Director of the Halifax & Region Military Family Resource Centre. She has been supporting military families for over 25 years and has worked with thousands of military families. Shelley is a forwarding thinking, strategic leader, with a goal to modernize and continuously evolve military and veteran family services to address current challenges of today’s military and veteran families. She is committed to quality service delivery by learning from military families’ feedback and experiences, and by incorporating military and veteran family research, to shape the future direction of services. She values inclusive, family centred practice, reflective practice and positive workplace culture as well as building partnerships with community agencies so military and veteran families are supported in the community in which they live.
